Bredhurst
The village of Bredhurst is located on the North Downs and is within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB), now known as the Kent Downs National Landscape. There are 370 residents on the Electoral Roll and it comes under Maidstone Borough Council.
Bredhurst has a Primary School which was founded in 1866, The Bell public house which dates from the Tudor period and St Peter’s Church which dates from the 11th century. The village is surrounded by farmland and Bredhurst Woods, an ancient woodland covering over 600 acres. Much of Bredhurst Woods is managed by Bredhurst Woodland Action Group https://bwag.org.uk/ a registered charity with a team of volunteers who have cared for the area for over 20 years.
The Parish Council runs Blacksmiths Community Barn and there is also an independently run village hall, both of which are available for hire.

Bredhurst Parish Council normally meets on
the second Wednesday of every month except January and August. Meeting dates may change with prior notice. Meetings are held in Blacksmiths Barn, Blacksmith Court ME7 3JU at 7.15 pm. All meetings are open to the public. For more
